VALA, a sweet, and spicy fragrance named after the wild volcano, features a lush citrus note with an equally enchanting origin story.

This olfactive note is a hybrid of the sweet juiciness from Mandarin and the delicate tartness from Blood Orange. Grown near the Mount Etna, this exclusive  Blood Orange from Sicily lends the fragrance a sparkling effervescence.

Some Folklore

These blood oranges grow on the slopes of Mont Etna providing volcanic soil, hot days and cold nights, which give the fruit its ruby color and a perfect balance of acidity and sweetness.

The red color is also due to the presence of anthocyanins in the flesh regulated by a gene present in the fruit: the ruby gene discovered by European Researchers in 2012.

The unique growing conditions gives the blood orange its beautiful uniqueness compared to other oranges.

The best fragrance-specific varieties of Sicilian blood oranges are selected by local partners to extract a precious crude oil comparable to a Sicilian Grand Cru.
